18k Gold plated jewellery is best suited to healed piercings. Whilst the gold plating itself won't cause irritation to your skin, the base metal underneath might react with your skin and cause an allergic reaction. 18k Gold plated jewellery is great to wear on holiday given its beautiful shine and affordable price point. Once you have worn your jewellery during your holiday, simply follow the care instructions and keep the jewellery away from perfumes and excessive moisture. This should maintain the 18k gold plating for longer to prevent wear and tear.
